I love shooting kitchens when they’re well designed like this one. It had great lighting too which made my life easier!
I do love shooting kitchens when they’re designed like this. A more traditional country style kitchen with not one but two AGAs. Perfect for entertaining when fingers crossed we’re all able to do so again. Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
This kitchen has everything you need and more. Low ceilings can be difficult to work with but the design of this space made it a joy to shoot. A great example of a modern townhouse renovation.
This property was made to be photographed at twilight. The glass and modern sleek lines are really emphasised when lit up as the light drops. I added flash to the exterior too to help bring it to life.
I love the symmetry of period houses like this. Beautifully proportioned windows and high ceilings look really elegant. Here I used the drone to get some height to help bring in the view and show the rural setting. It would be easy to get too much height here which would ultimately detract from the home’s appeal, so discretion was key!
This pretty cottage is right on the edge of the village of Haselor, so shooting aerially was the best way to highlight those amazing views.
I loved the oak garden room leading onto the garden here. The perfect spot to catch those summer rays!
It’s not every day I photograph a converted barn and grain store, this property was both! Appearing on the first pilot series of grand designs the converted grain store is adjoined to the barn. The first floor of the grain store is now a lounge area with glass ceiling, perfect for stargazers on clear nights!
Aerial photography is a real game changer when it comes to capturing rural farms. What better way to show this farmhouse, surrounding buildings and land for sale here. I just need to remember to keep out of the way!
I’m typically trying to get as far back from buildings as I can, but here closer was better to illustrate the impressive structural shape. This Huf Haus is a prefab house but each one is designed to the client’s exact specifications. This one was watertight around a week after the initial construction. Amazing construction and engineering.
I love shooting renovations when the builders think outside the box. This kitchen with hints of copper colouring really looked great with the light on it. A job well done!
I love the level of detail in a Victorian fireplace like this. I couldn’t resist shooting it!
I love the subtle shades of colour here. It doesn’t get much better than a roaring fire in a traditional stone cottage. The one is in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Where better to spend this time of year…I love the clean straight lines of the stove against the tough textured walls of the inglenook here.
A view I couldn’t resist photographing when on a farm in Oxfordshire recently. The first field in the foreground is part of the estate I was commissioned to shoot, and what a backdrop behind!
What’s better than eating al fresco.. Cooking al fresco! The owner here has worked hard to establish a great area to cook and enjoy spending time outside.
Bi folding doors are a popular addition to modern homes, helping to bring the outside in. At this property opening them perfectly frames that gorgeous view.
The owners of this property bought it as a forgotten barn which needed a lot of love. Surrounded by a pretty garden full of colour, they can now feel very proud indeed.
I love shooting at twilight. There’s something so special about the colour which can emerge from seemingly nowhere. I love the pink hue in the sky, serving as the perfect backdrop for the architecture on show. With the building lit up in the night sky, all of it’s features are more pronounced and emphasised by the darker surroundings.
This is a great example of how bifold doors can connect the outside space with the inside of a home. Shooting from this angle demonstrates the flow from the kitchen to the sunlit garden beyond.
