I love the level of detail in a Victorian fireplace like this. I couldn’t resist shooting it!
The owners of this property bought it as a forgotten barn which needed a lot of love. Surrounded by a pretty garden full of colour, they can now feel very proud indeed.
I do love shooting in the evening. I'd photographed this apartment in the day time a few days earlier, capturing the more traditional wider views. In this image I was trying to portray the mood of the room and the bespoke luxury feel.
I could have photographed this barn from hundreds of angles, so settling on just a few compositions that show off the home wasn't easy. Here I wanted to link the dining area with sitting areas beyond. Opening doors also helps to invite the viewers eye beyond the foreground and to explore the house or in this case the garden further.
