I love shooting renovations when the builders think outside the box. This kitchen with hints of copper colouring really looked great with the light on it. A job well done!
A happy new year to you all. There’s no better place at this time of year than in front of a roaring fire. You can eat and relax in front of this one, so why go anywhere else? I’d like to say a big thank you to all of my clients at this time of year for all of their support, and I’m looking forward to more adventures in 2019!
If you’re interested in the most difficult aspect of making this image…. it was turning the light on above the kitchen island. That switch is high! This image was made in a brand new Spitfire show home. I do like the clean lines and sleek presentation of this space.
When photographing this kitchen I had to be very aware of what was outside... lots of snow! Which being a property photographer I naturally try and avoid, as it dates the images and indicates how long the property has been on the market. I mainly settled on compositions I thought suited the space whilst pushing the window exposure as much as possible. After all, I want the viewers eye to be focusing her on the inside and design of this kitchen/dining area. The warm lighting here really helps to show this as an inviting place to be.
