If you’re interested in the most difficult aspect of making this image…. it was turning the light on above the kitchen island. That switch is high! This image was made in a brand new Spitfire show home. I do like the clean lines and sleek presentation of this space.
This image was produced to link the sitting and dining areas with the kitchen in this open plan home. The bi fold doors are fully open to lead you into the sunny garden beyond. This home was beautifully staged which made it a joy to shoot!
Twilight shoots are a great way of helping a property stand out amongst others. It took some time to light up this beautifully designed building. Lots of work was involved on location and in photoshop but I certainly think it was worth it!
I could have photographed this barn from hundreds of angles, so settling on just a few compositions that show off the home wasn't easy. Here I wanted to link the dining area with sitting areas beyond. Opening doors also helps to invite the viewers eye beyond the foreground and to explore the house or in this case the garden further.
